Short Game Drills:
The emphasis in short game is to play short accurate shots. Therefore, the set up in the short game is narrow, feet being 6 - 12 inches apart. The back swing in necessarily truncated, shoulder rotation is nil for putting, very slight for chipping, and quarter-to–half rotation for pitching and sand play. Hips and leg actions are virtually absent in the short game. There is no suppination in all short game shots and follow through is stunted in all but bunker and flop shots. If you be man or lady enough, putt a ball from 4 feet away to just touch an inverted tee on a coin. See the pictures below. It is the epitome of practice in accuracy.
